The Edge Cycleworks Shop Rides
Guided Rides by Flattyres MTB
There are a few different rides to choose from - See the drop down menu above.
The monthly Sunday shop ride alternates between intermediate 'Social' rides and expert 'Big' rides. They range all over North Wales and the North West of England, following the Flattyres MTB route guides published on the Edge Cycleworks website.
There are also fortnightly Night Rides based around the hills of North Wales.
On these rides you can be safe in the knowledge you are riding with an experienced MBL level MBLA guide and REC trained 1st Aider.
What should you expect on a Shop Ride?
'SOCIAL' Rides
These rides are around 20 miles with the emphasis on getting out and having fun. Basic mountain biking skills are necessary, but if you can comfortably make it around the Marin Trail, you should have no problems (that is not to say you will not be tired at the end).
Max No of Riders - 20
'BIG' Rides
Are for experienced mountain bikers. Good bike handling skills are mandatory, to a level were you are comfortable riding the MBR at Coed-y-Brenin. You must be fit enough to complete a 30 mile ride, e.g. my Cadair Berwyn or Ladybower routes, in a maximum of 5 hours.
Max No of Riders - 10
Night Rides
These rides are based around the Clwydian Range and the Ceiriog Valley, with a variety of terrain suitable for a whole spectrum of riders, from those just starting out riding with lights to rides for experts only. They start at 7pm and last for two hours, so there is always time for a quick drink at the end.
Max No of Riders - 8
